About us

About you

We are looking for an experienced instructor with a proven track record in that area, who brings expertise in railway operations. The ideal candidate has a past as train driver, has experience in managing train drivers as instructor, knows the Belgian and European regulations, is skilled in common computer and windows applications and communicates effectively in Dutch and French. English and German would be a surplus.

 

The challenge

  • Providing support on the network with a view to assessing the driving ability of drivers. (Belgian and possibly border networks);
  • Carrying out training regarding knowledge relating to rolling stock;
  • Carrying out line studies with a view to acquiring or maintaining driver knowledge;
  • Checking the professional knowledge of freight train drivers;
  • Support to the regulatory department for the management of the infrastructure manager's documentation/regulations;
  • Collecting and playing tapes;
  • Carrying out checks and audits according to the company's control plan;
  • Support and various support in the tasks of the regulatory department

 

Skills

Communicate clearly and effectively, be patient, active Listening, show empathy, ability to adapt, leadership, problem solving, be safety-oriented, have a sense of responsibility, be independent and impartial.

 

Profile

  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of practical driving experience.
  • Be approved as a trainer/examiner by a recognized training center.

  • English will be appreciated
